Good to see Jens Hoffmanns 4 Valve Dynotec Guzilla in Action (he won the Super B.E.A.R.S.), very nice also the from DucDickel signed in Moto Morini and of course, the armada of Ducati, Aprillia and BMW and others, like some Laverdas.
Tommy Schuler started with our Twincarb “Thors Hammer” Racebuell at the Thunder B.E.A.R.S (British-European-American-Race-Series) the former “Battle of the Twins”, and also with the Buell XB, signed in by the Hillbilly-Motors supported XBORG Team, in the “nearstock” Pro Thunderseries. Both bikes are equipped with Alex Kucis (M-TeK Engineering) builded engines, witch both also on this weekend worked without any problems. Only the fuelmanagement at “Thors Hammer” was, like the complete 2007 season, a case for itself. Also a special case is our new Teammember Max-Rudi, after his mother joined often the races in the last month, he was total cool on his first event now, just 4 days old at the Biketoberfest! All the best to Stefanie und Christian... -whats comig up there? Because of Max perfect Timing, his father Christian “best Mechanic ever” was with us, so the weekend could begin. We had the garage together with some Italiafans (Götz presented also the new Mobiltech programm for Italobikes and the Pierobon F042) and our friends with the KALEX were back. Back, - because we have seen live when Klaus crashed the prototype at the Tuner GP in Hockenheim and the bike immediatly start to burn. It was a very sad moment to see this outstanding bike coming into the paddock lying on a trailer. Now the KALEX was back, with an aluminium fuelreservoir under the carboncover.... -Klaus and Alex you both have my greatest respect!
Oh well, yes we had also done some races... Tommy piloted the Pro Thunder XB from the XBORGS on Saturday on 2nd and on Sunday he finished 3rd, a nice start for the upcoming Thunder B.E.A.R.S. races. The Thors Hammer Buell was playing the Diva, Tommy pressed in the timesession the secondbest laptime out of the bike (only Moto Mania Holger Aue was quickerer) but we jetted the carbs up and down , like in the good old 2-Stroketimes, with (friendly sayed) not real success. On Sundaymorning we find it, the DUCATI underpressure operated fuelpump is broken...(who had that idea about an Twincarb Buellengine ???). Ok. pump out, sparepart was not to find, and pray.... We had to finished at least in the middle of the field, our continiuty over the season let us lead with some points, but when we are out, the Championship is gone. Without fuelpump, Thors Hammer is missing some Horsepower, Tommy fight like hell and finish the race 5th. Holger Aue took the win on Moto Guzzi, before Ralf Schädel (Ducati), Christoph Dachselt (Ducati) and Bernd Tittler (Moto-Guzzi). Well done! -we grab the title and Thors Hammer get now an injectionsystem...... In the first hour after the race nobody believe that we really made it.
The german 2007 Buell Raceseason started with an tradgedy, when Holger Turnis died at the 1000Km of Hockenheim and was followed by Mike Funkes hard crash at the Fishtownraces in Bremerhaven (he is still not 100% ok). The season ends now in Oschersleben at the Biketoberfest with the winning of the 2007 Thunder B.E.A.R.S. Championship. Hard to find words.
